JODIE LEE`S NEW BEDROOM - AFTER PHOTOS

Finally some photos of Jodie-Lee`s new bedroom as previous promised. (Sorry for the dark photos... it had just finished raining, when I took them.) The walls and the painted wooden floor are white, not cream as it appears to be...

Jodie-Lee been the girlie girl that she is,

she wanted a bit of hot pink on her bedroom...

...Hence the pink faux silk bedding touches.

A girl can never have too many cushions!

The bed is similar to the other bed,

...that I bought for my eldest daughter.

Its called cabin bed, and you can buy it on Ebay!

The huge Laura Ashley mirror, has been sitting
on top of my wardrobe for years...

...So its nice to put it to good use, finally!

On another corner J.L has her own vintage dressing table

that we bought at the auction for £70.00.

Sadly I got on a bidding war, and paid more that I initially wanted to pay.

But I knew that it was the perfect fit for this corner,

and I`m so happy to have won it!!!

We paid for the glass top for protection

and I painted the table and added the pretty flowers wallpaper.

A cute little aquarium... with 9 little friendly fishes...

To keep J.L company!

I`m thrilled to bits to have found this stylish picture with mirrored frame... (below).

And hubby added these words decal that I bought from Ebay.

UPDATE:

I`m in doubt of either to have curtains in this room, or not...

DH says that the room will look too busy, but I disagree, I think it will look warm and cosy.

Decisions... Decisions... Decisions... I will let you know what I have decided to do, soon.

I decided against the curtains... so by saving some money...

I bought a black Ghost inspired chair (on Ebay) instead,

for Jodie`s dressing table!

I must prefer this chair, and luckily so does Jodie-Lee!

BLACK AND WHITE BEDROOM DECORATING IDEAS

Start with the walls. When decorating your bedroom, start with the walls. You don’t have to paint all your walls either black or white. You can paint some walls black and others white, play around with wall decals, or use wallpaper. You might want to use a combination or paint, decals and wallpaper like in the picture on the left. Accessories and Bedding: This is the fun part! There are so many black and white room decorating ideas for your bedding, lighting, rugs and walls! Black chandeliers are super glam in a black and white bedroom. Area rugs come in all types of designs and fabrics. For the walls, you can hang black and white pictures and place them in a colorful frame for contrast (or vice-versa). Black and white curtains will look amazing in your bedroom. Just make sure that most of your bedroom accessories are black and white only and don’t contain other colors.

Accent colors: Last but not least come the accent colors. The reason I mentioned this last is because it is very important not to overdo it. You want most of your room to be black and white and you can pick one or two main accent colors to highlight specific areas of your room. Anything in color will stand out in a black and white bedroom! Some great areas to accent are your bed, via a colorful comforter or an area on the walls with a beautiful painting. You might even consider painting an entire wall or part of a wall a bright color to create a dramatic look.
