OUR TEENAGE DAUGHTER BEDROOM - AFTER PHOTOS

Its been awhile since my last post... Sorry about that!
The photos that I`m about to show you are of my teenager daughter "newly" finished,
or should I say "nearly" finished bedroom. :-(
There`s a few things that we still have to do,
in order to completely finish this room!
But we will get there, in the end... Eventually!:-)
The dressing table was a bargain at £30.00 from our local second hand shop + £45.00 for the made to measure glass top. Quite expensive but worth it! I now don`t have to worry about the paint being scratch every time my daughter uses her dressing table, which happens to be daily! I love transforming out dated furniture with a fresh new coat of paint. I`ve done the same with the chest of drawers, which was another bargain, only £20.00. The stool was a car boot buy for £5.00.
It use to have a damaged tapestry top but now has been transformed.
The lights were another bargain, and they only cost £20.00 more postage on EBay many years ago.
I enjoyed refreshing them, buy painting them white, to match the furniture.
New 32"inches plasma and rug.
It has such a lovely soft plush feel to it...
At first we were going to had a clothes stand... but at last minute I came with the idea of only having a clothes rail. This way there`s extra floor space. And in my opinion looks much better too! The clothes rail was a light wood, if we were to painting it, it would scratch so we decided to use white fab long instead, which is a type of a plastic veneer, available to buy at B&Q.
The other thing that still needs finishing is the old spiral staircase. My hubby has been painstakingly polishing it. I still have a few reservations on either to paint it white or not. Although cast iron staircases like these that have never been painted are difficult to find and more sought after. We bought ours on EBay about 5 years ago when we, "meaning my hubby" transformed the attic room into a living space.
I had a look at websites where made to order cast iron spiral staircases can be very pricey. So don`t waste your hard earned money and get it on EBay, instead. Luckily for us, ours was the perfect fit!
The last thing that needs doing is to upholster two armchairs and this matching two setter below, which you can see is in a very bad state. I have already painted the frames white, and hubby took the two armchairs to work. He`s hoping to upholster them while he is on his dinner break. So it might be a while until they are finished, since there`s a lot of work involved, including stripping the stairs to their original state. The fabric that I choose is plain black and I also bought 4 leather cushions covers in white, (on EBay) which we can`t wait to see them on the completed chairs. Fingers crossed and it won`t be a very long wait!
Here is our gorgeous daughter in her gorgeous and stylish new bedroom!
P.S- Just in case any of you might be wondering where the bed is from... once again EBay came to the rescue! A few month ago, while browsing EBay, I came across a Captains bed or Cabins bed. It`s not cheap at £245.00, not including mattresses but saves a lot on space. By pulling the two drawers bellow, another bed comes out, so its perfect for sleepovers! And has also 3 other drawers. I can`t praise this bed enough! So much so, that we are hoping to buy another one for our 10 year old daughter bedroom, which we will be decorating next! If interested in buying one do your research has some sellers offer free postage.

UPDATE:

Just thought to share two photos of the small changes
that we have done to this room so far:

We finally manage to re-do the two armchairs...
only the two seatter to do next!

ONCE THE REST OF THE CHANGES ARE DONE...
I WILL ADD MORE PHOTOS UNDERNEATH.
(Please do bear with us!)
